With over 150 million active accounts, its Instant Messaging system, Tencent Messenger, has a market share of 77% in China. Optic Communications is fully supported by Hong Kong Citic Pacific. Its main business is online game development and publishing. Shanghai Game Developers Association (SGDA), a non-profit membership organization, is a branch institution of the Shanghai Multimedia Industry Association involved in the field of game development. The missions of SGDA are to establish an extensive game developer organization in Shanghai and to use this organization's strength to promote development and progress of the game development industry in Shanghai and throughout China .

As of Feb 2006, SGDA has more than 140 official members, including numerous key figures in the Chinese game development industry.
